The Death of The Past Four Years,

2020

When the news broke, yesterday, I was working on this painting of Greenwood.

The end of Trump.

It felt remarkably fitting to celebrate the death of this era in the most beautiful cemetery.

This painting is part of a series in which I depict various perspectives of New York City.

I have always felt deeply connected to nyc and imagined myself in its spaces, although I did not have the privilege of growing up here.

The pieces are backed by mirrored plexiglass, invite viewers to see themselves within the spaces as well.

A visual experience translating the emotional connection I’ve always held with my, now, home.
