Beacons of Home
For my friend, Five, who taught me:
Home is the comfort and certainty you carry once you find yourself and those who deserve to be around you.
“I think of my dearest friends as beacons of home. Meaning that no matter where in the world we may be, they have a piece of me wherever they are, as I do of them - and in that way we are never really far apart. Home is not always a physical place, it is an abstract concept of a place of belonging, of acceptance and safety and love. That concept is held in the hearts of all the people who love us, which then connects us back to ourselves.”
