The World Revolves

As I began to connect with my trans and genderqueer identity, I became conscious of gender performativity. I wanted to establish autonomy over my body actively refuse to preform any longer. To do so, I began to cover myself with tattoos of my own creation, wore binders to experiment with the presentation of a flat chest, and began the process of medically transitioning. There were moments I felt as if I was a crowd of people all at once. I wanted to be free from my body. My world revolved around this desire.
